The Premier League confirmed that only one has tested positive for Coronavirus in the fifth round of testing of 1197 players and staff.
In a statement, Premier League said, “The Premier League can today confirm that on Monday 1 June and Tuesday 2 June, 1197 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, one has tested positive.”
Players and staff tested positive are kept in isolation for a period of 7 days.
Total positive cases in the Premier League have now reached 13. Previously six, two and four players and staffs were tested positive in the first, second and third rounds respectively. In the fourth round, no one tested positive of 1130 tested.
