There is still no clarity on the future of the Indian Premier League, which has been postponed indefinitely due to coronavirus pandemic. But BCCI is planning to host the tournament during September-November window if T20 World Cup 2020 and Asia Cup 2020 doesn’t happen.

Pakistan has the hosting right of the Asia Cup 2020 and offered Sri Lanka to host the tournament. Also, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is prioritizing to host IPL 2020.
However, latest reports in Sunday Times Sri Lanka suggest that there’s a greater likelihood of the tournament being postponed or scrapped this year with regional boards showing little interest in taking part in the six-nation tournament because of the restrictions and logistical hurdles posed by the pandemic.
The final decision on Asia Cup 20 is likely to be announced by the Asia Cricket Council (ACC) anytime next week.
