Ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Bengaluru FC on Saturday announced their decision to part ways with forward Oliver Drost and defender Slavko Damjanovic.
Damjanovic, who joined Bengaluru FC last summer on a one-year contract, had previously played for Chennaiyin FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the ISL, winning the ISL Cup with the Mariners during the 2022-23 season.
During his time with the Blues, the Montenegrin centre-back made 16 appearances and secured two clean sheets.
Meanwhile, Drost joined Bengaluru FC during the January transfer window with a contract running until the end of the 2023-24 season. However, he struggled to find his form at his new club, making only nine appearances and providing just one assist.
Bengaluru FC faced a challenging season in 2023-24, finishing 10th in the league standings. It marked their lowest finish in the league since joining the ISL in the 2017-18 season.
