Ahead of the 11th season of the Indian Super League (ISL 2024-25), Odisha FC announced the departure of Princeton Rebello and Sahil Panwar.
Rebello joined Odisha FC in the January transfer window last season. The midfielder played a crucial role for the club during their Super Cup triumph last season and continued to impress under new head coach Sergio Lobera this season. The 25-year-old was a regular member of Lobera’s squad, playing a significant role behind the forwards Roy Krishna and Diego Mauricio.
He featured in 20 league matches this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist to help his side reach the ISL semi-finals for the first time. Overall, he made 35 appearances for the Kalinga Warriors across all competitions, with 30 of those coming during the 2023-24 season.
Panwar joined Odisha FC from Hyderabad FC ahead of the 2021-22 season. Panwar, too, made an impact for the side during their Super Cup triumph last season. The left-back was a regular player for the team in his first two seasons before the arrival of Jerry Lalrinzuala in the 2023-24 season. Panwar made 45 appearances for the Kalinga Warriors across all competitions.
In addition to his defensive responsibilities, he showcased his ability to contribute offensively on overlaps. He recorded three assists, all during the 2022-23 season, and scored his only goal for Odisha FC against Maziya S&RC in the AFC Cup this season.
