Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings could travel UAE early for the 13th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) according to a report in Gulf News.
IPL 2020 will take place in UAE from September 19 and team are expected to reach UAE by August 20. While most of the teams are planning to come during the third week, but Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is planning to travel UAE in the second week of August and will be the first team to travel to UAE for IPL 2020.
One of the main reasons for the Super Kings’ will be hit the ground early to acclimatise to the conditions and get into their groove after the long break from action due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Some key players have been practising regularly in a secure environment individually. Suresh Raina has been practising with CSK teammate Piyush Chawla, along with Rishabh Pant and Mohammad Shami in Ghaziabad.
