NorthEast United FC announced the appointment of Jeevan Jayaraj as the new Head Coach for our Under-7, Under-9, and Under-11 teams. Jeevan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the club, having previously worked with Bengaluru FC.

Jeevan Jayaraj has an impressive track record in youth development. At Bengaluru FC, he was integral to building one of the best youth setups for the U7-U13 in the country until last year. His most recent role was as the Residential Academy Coach, where they were the runner-up in the U-13 Youth I-League. His technical expertise and experience in developing young players make him a valuable addition to NorthEast United FC.

Suhel Nair, Head of Youth Development at NorthEast United FC, expressed his excitement about the new appointment, “Jeevan has extensive experience dealing with young kids, and his approach to youth development is exactly what we need. He will help our young players grow, and it will be a fantastic opportunity for them to learn from someone of his calibre.”

Jeevan Jayaraj shared his enthusiasm about joining NorthEast United FC, “I am very happy to come here and excited to get started. My first job will be to scout for good talent in our day boarding trials and take it forward from there. I am looking forward to working with the young players and helping them reach their full potential.”

Mandar Tamhane, CEO of NorthEast United FC, also commented on the appointment, “With Jeevan and Suhel integrated into our youth setup, we anticipate positive changes in our youth players. We are confident that with Jeevan’s past experiences, he will play a crucial role in developing our youth squads and having a gradual player progression to the higher age groups.”
